Rideshare

Carpool

A carpool is defined as two or more people sharing a ride to a common destination (or to nearby destinations). It’s easy, inexpensive, and flexible.

The advantages to carpooling to the Lloyd District are:
  • A Lloyd District carpool permit costs $80 per month.
  • Application Form
  • Eligibility and other Requirements
  • Over 150 on-street spaces are reserved for Lloyd District carpools from 6:00 -10:00 AM, Monday-Friday.
  • Map of carpool spaces
  • Sharing the costs of gas, parking and related expenses with others could significantly reduce overall commute costs for everyone involved.
  • Reduces wear and tear on vehicles.
  • May result in lower insurance rates—check with your agent.

If you have already established a carpool, complete and submit an application to the City of Portland. Applications available here or at the Commuter Connection transportation store.
